56 miles to Whitefish

I was up early (5am) to try and beat the heat. Arrived at Whitefish by midday - it is hot!
Whitefish is like a centre for outdoor activities. It has great coffee shops, lots of open spaces, yoga retreats, places to book adventure activities, shops selling nicknacks, shops selling designer gear, hardware stores, fishing tackle outlets and bike shops. My bike has got new brake blocks in preparation for the next set of big hills, as I will be making my way north through the Glacial National Park. I am following the American Adventure cycling Association route, and it is NOT a direct route- it meanders through scenic areas and appears to take in as many hills as possible! It does, however keep away from major roads where possible and the maps are excellent. So I take no shortcuts!
Am camping in an RV park on the edge of town and and my laundry is in the washer.
