Wed 7th June 49 miles
Ellensburg to Naches.
A very hot day. Not that early a staff because we were eating a very good breakfast of fruit salad yogart, homemade muffins and tea. Plus Ellensburg is a university city and not the king of place you want to hurry through.
We continued to cycle by the side of the Yakima river. The name canyon road says it all. Beautiful but hot and hotter. We reached Selah, and hope I am not offending anybody by saying we did not fancy the place. Drive through this and that and the worst cup of coffee imaginable. So cycled onto Naches, a small town which could be a movie set. Staying in the hotel, as no camp site. It is very original with wooden verandar out front. They also have a bakery. So had tea and scones at 4pm.
