Monday 19th June

Said goodbye to Keith at the airport on Saturday. His bike was packed up and checked in. Then it was the train back to the hostel to pick up my bike. 'The Sounder' train which travels North to where I begin my West to East crossing, only travels on weekdays, so I am cycling North. Thus I took the ferry back to Bainbridge Island and camped at the site on the coast.
The tent felt very big and I kept losing things, like my head torch in the space.   !0miles

Sunday 75 miles
Next day, Sunday, I left the Island, North by the Agate bridge, and continued over a hilly route to the Hood Canal bridge. Then more coastline and hills, until a ferry from Port Townsend to W.Island. Up the island through some scenic areas to Deception Pass and an amazing bridge over the gorge-style channel. Tired by then but could not find my planned camp site, so ended up in a private one. Charged $18 (!) for a place with no showers, and a lot of rusting R.V.'s. A nice view of a lake though and I slept well.  75 Miles.

Monday
Am now traveling East, Have left Anacotes and hope to stay in a warmshowers near Burlington tonight. Hope pictures will follow.
