Day 1 June 4th 2017 47 miles
Am now in North Bend home of Twin Peaks, for those old enough to remember. We cycled from Seattle along first rate cycle paths crossing onto Mercer Island via a bridge about three times the length of the Kessock bridge. Then used an old railway trail now turned into a cycle route. (a few roads as well). After our coffee stop at Issaquah we did an unplanned extra hill climb but no other navigation issues. Passed a grave yard of old steam engines and assorted rail locomotives at Snoqualmie.
Have just eaten in an American diner, should have ordered one meal between the two of us. Slimming must be an up hill struggle for the locals. Keith insisted on a motel tonight, but will camp tomorrow.
Good start. Great photos . A little comfort after your long journey sounds like a very reasonable decision to me ! Audrey.
